DAMAC Lagoon is a major real estate project in Dubai, United Arab Emirates being developed by DAMAC Properties.
It will comprise three interconnected islands spread over an area of over 45 million square feet. The islands will be linked together with canals.
Once complete, DAMAC Lagoon is expected to have residential units, hotels, serviced apartments, shopping centers, luxury villas, theme parks and leisure facilities.
Some of the attractions planned include the largest waterfront residences in Dubai, a Six Flags theme park, an adventure waterpark and hotel resorts.
Development is taking place in phases, with the first phase of residential towers, canals, parks and other infrastructure currently underway.
The master developer is DAMAC and it has partnered with firms like Parsons Corporation and Six Flags for development of parts of the project.
Upon full completion, DAMAC Lagoon is projected to house over 80,000 residents and attract millions of visitors annually. It will be one of the largest artificial island developments in the world.
The project aims to enhance Dubai’s appeal as a tourism and real estate investment hub through its world-class amenities and lifestyle offerings.
Tourism Draw: With the theme parks, hotels and attractions, it aims to significantly raise Dubai’s tourism profile and entertainment options. Could attract over 15 million annual visitors.
